VSC black themes issue, low contrast white text on white background in notebook output xarray

I use VSC on three machines. A university windows laptop, a personal Linux laptop and on a Linux remote desktop.

Since a month I stated to get an intermittent issue with the HTML output in a jupyter notebook when checking a xarray.Dataset while using a dark theme. It could be that i have set some option badly and it has sync the settings across various devices.

Here is an example of the issue on my uni laptop. Of course choosing a light theme of changing the output to plaint text is a workaround, but I would like to fix the issue.

I have been googling around and asking AI without a solution. I foudn this post from 2020 https://github.com/pydata/xarray/issues/4024 that seems to suggest they have noted and fixed this issue some time ago. So I think it is something I have cause in my VSC setup...

Anyone know how to fix it?
