Some coding issues

Hey guys I am new to coding community,

So, I have only been learning coding for maybe three or four months, and I must say that I am really enjoying it. I mean, researching JavaScript and things like that has been pretty fun for me.

However, I have been struggling a little. When I try to think about how to build something a little more complex, not overly complex, but maybe a little more than beginner-level, my mind goes blank. I have no idea what to do, how to organize it, or how to think about it in terms of breaking it down and figuring it out.

So, I am pretty good at coding basic apps, but as things get a little harder, I feel lost.

So, is this normal for a beginner, and what am I lacking in terms of my skill set, and how can I improve it?

Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
