How to force vertical alignment of things [closed]

Essentially, I want to make a row of three square buttons that act as a selector with multi line text inside them, and also have text unaligned to the buttons on the side, and then to have two rows of that. I know that is kinda confusing so I attached and example below. I have tried divs and spans but no matter what I do I can not figure out how to make this work. If anyone can help, please, do so.
